Q-Camp Kicks Off
The future of quantum technology is taking shape in Gdańsk. On Monday, August 31, Q-Camp, the longest, running quantum summer school, kicked off at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics of the University of Gdańsk.
Soon, on Friday, September 11, the city will host Q-Con, the largest business conference dedicated to quantum technology in this part of Europe. But before global experts gather at the University of Gdańsk Library, the quantum future has a chance to crystallize just a few steps away.
- Q-Camp is an international summer school hosted by the University of Gdańsk in collaboration with Kainos, combining knowledge of quantum technologies with practical workshops. Participants acquire the skills of the future, meet world-class experts, and build networks that can lead to international scientific and technological projects - said the event's host, Prof. Marcin Marciniak, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics at the University of Gdańsk.

- Through a combination of academic learning in a friendly environment and direct interaction with experts, Q-Camp helps you build the skills, network, and perspective needed to become part of the future quantum ecosystem – commented Patryk Jar, Innovation Tech Lead at Kainos.
The organizers are highly focused on the practical applications of quantum technology, which is reflected in the summer school's entire agenda.
- The business application of quantum technologies is the future of our region, which is why we are thrilled to co-organize Q-Camp alongside the University of Gdańsk and Kainos. It’s the perfect prelude to Q-Con, the largest event focused on the practical use of quantum technology - said Tomasz Nadolny, Head of Economy and Digitalization for the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area, which co-organizes the quantum business events.
Q-Camp is currently underway, training the new talent that will help us navigate the upcoming quantum world. Just how massive this shift will be is sure to be a major talking point among the global experts visiting the University of Gdańsk Library on September 11.
