Polish-French talks in the Metropolia
How can we collaborate more effectively in business and build stronger bridges between Poland and France? On June 22nd, the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area (OMGGS) hosted an exceptional expert in this field, the Honorary Consul of France, Alain Mompert.

The meeting was attended by OMGGS representatives: President of the Board Michał Glaser, Head of Creative and Program Affairs Grzegorz Kwiatkowski, and Head of Economy and Digitalization Tomasz Nadolny. The main focus of the talks was the existing, highly extensive economic and cultural ties, as well as prospects for their further development.
The Tricity and the entire metropolis have long been an attractive market for French investors. Cooperation is flourishing in the modern technology sector, business services (BPO/SSC), and the IT industry, where French capital is one of the key employers in the region. The discussions also touched upon the potential of the maritime economy and shared challenges regarding the energy transition.

Culture was also a key part of the conversation. Polish-French relations are built on artistic and educational exchange, as well as the dynamic activity of institutions like the Alliance Française in Gdańsk. Together with Consul Mompert, OMGGS representatives explored new, creative ways to make French-Pomeranian ties even stronger—for the benefit of residents, businesses, and creators from both countries.
