The Somonino Municipality lies within the Kashubian Landscape Park, at the foot of the Szymbark Hills. The numerous knolls, hills, natural monuments, lakes, and river valleys remain long in the memory of those who visit the towns and charming corners of the Somonino Municipality.

The Radunia River, flowing through the municipality, attracts kayaking enthusiasts as well as anglers. Somonino offers excellent conditions for recreation, which is why an increasing number of tourists choose to holiday there. They are attracted not only by the beauty of the landscape but also by the famous Kashubian hospitality. There are many holiday resorts, private accommodations, and agritourism farmstays here. There is no shortage of cycling routes, designated Nordic walking trails, and water equipment rentals. Locals encourage rides in horse-drawn carriages and traditional wooden wagons, and in winter, they organize sleigh rides that culminate in a bonfire feast. Highly recommended are the "Stone Circles" (Kamienne kręgi) and "Phantom Trail" (Szlak widmo) cycling routes, which provide a perfect alternative to the crowded bicycle paths in the center of the metropolis.

The municipality features many sites listed in the Pomeranian Voivodeship's register of historical monuments, such as the Stone Circles in Trątkownica (burial structures from the 1st century BC), as well as the historic churches in Goręczyno, Hopowo, and Połęczyno.
