Investing in new tram lines and a new fleet in recent years has significantly increased the number of passengers on Gdansk's trams, says the national Transport Publiczny portal (www.transport-publiczny.pl).

The AGM of the Gdansk Metropolitan Area (GOM) was held on Monday February 23, at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk, during which there were elections to fill the various posts in the association. The meeting also marked a landmark moment as the association’s 50th member – the Municipality of Wladyslawowo - was officially accepted into the group plus there was also great news on discussions aimed at seeing Gdynia join an expanded association.

Clothing firm LPP S.A., whose business portolio includes well-known highstreet retail brands such as Reserved and Cropp, has announced plans to expand further by building a second office building on ul. Łąkowa, in the Dolne Miasto (Downtown) area of Gdańsk.

Following on from the successes of last year, 2015 promises to be another big one for the Tri-City in terms of investment projects reaching completion. A whole raft of infrastructural developments, particularly in the public transport and communication sector, is set to be unveiled as the year progresses, allowing residents and visitors alike to finally feel the benefit of all the blood, sweat and delays!
