There is a public consultation which will run until 26 September 2014 and you as an EU citizen are invited to take part.

Polish ports are becoming the most important ports on the Baltic Sea thanks to the investment which has taken place in the last couple of decades - that’s the view of the head of the Department of Economic Policy at the University of Gdansk, Professor Henryk Ćwikliński, who described the scale and rate of development as a phenomenon. “The current and future investments make a huge impression and Polish ports are becoming the most important on the Baltic before our very eyes”.

A number of the local governments in the Gdansk Metropolitan Area have been placed extremely highly in the latest rankings of their performance by the Wspolnota magazine, with Gdansk itself actually coming out top of the near 2,500 local governments assessed.

The Senate of the Republic of Poland have approved an amendment from Senator Professor Edmund Wittbrodt to base the Polish Space Agency in Gdansk. The agency, which is known as POLSA (POLish Space Agency) was created in late 2013 after Poland joined the European Space Agency (ESA) programme IN 2012.

It's been two years since a new agreement came into effect that allowed travellers to cross the Polish - Russian border under a scheme called the Maly Ruch Granice (MRG). July 27 this year saw the second anniversary of the operation of the MRG, Lieutenant Justyna Szubstarska, the press officer for Warmia and Mazury Border Guard told Spedycje.pl.

Approximately 10,000 people were immortalised in a photograph taken on Sunday to mark the 4th World Gdansk Reunion. The last time such photographs were taken was four and fourteen years ago.
